The Wilbraham Road development delivers nine new social rent apartments for Southway Housing Trust on a gateway plot in the heart of Chorlton. 

A contextual approach has informed the architectural strategy, drawing on familiar forms and materials to ensure the building integrates with the locality and places the emphasis on longevity and a sense of place.

The project has evolved through close engagement between the design team, Southway Housing Trust and Manchester City Council, allowing local priorities and future resident needs to shape the outcome. The completed scheme provides much-needed affordable housing while contributing positively to the character and cohesion of the neighbourhood.
